Samsung Galaxy S3 with a bang

A lot of consumers were extremely disappointed when Samsung scotched all rumors of an early 2012 unveil for the Galaxy S3 smartphone in recent weeks. First, they announced that it will not be previewed at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. And second, they expended less effort (and used fewer words, apparently) in debunking speculation of the device being unveiled alongside hot new video game Angry Birds: Space.

While that announcement was anything but verbose, they did hint the handset will be launched at a separate event, possibly a good few months from now.

This could take place sometime in the summer, as implied by recent rumors. Currently, Samsung is rumored to be working on an edge-to-edge screen measuring 5 inches, designed for a smartphone to be released in the early summer months. The way we see it, that may very well be the Galaxy S3.
