Samsung Galaxy S3 specs are now the topic of discussion for the tech communities across the world. The perception that the forthcoming smart phone from Samsung will set the bar very high for its competitors to follow in the days to come seems to be true.
The new Samsung baby is going to be 4.8 inch big, a lot bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S2, but a tad smaller than Galaxy Note, the 5 inch smart phone from Samsung’s own stable.
But many people seem to be disappointed due to the fact that Korean tech giant didn’t showcase the highly awaited smart phone in the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. There was a faint hope that Samsung may anyhow showcase the smartphone there.
Though not much is actually known so far about the specs or the form factor of the forthcoming smartphone from Samsung, but Mr. Shin, the president of the mobile communication section of Samsung sometimes ago set the ball rolling when he said in a press conference, “Samsung may launch a 3rd version of its Galaxy S smartphone in the near future.”
The latest speculations have made it abundantly clear that the Galaxy S3 is actually going to be substantially bigger than the second generation top selling smartphone from Samsung. It is going to be even bigger than initially speculated in the media. The new Galaxy S is expected to feature a large 4.8-inch 1024p HD Super AMOLED Plus display with a SXGA resolution of 1280 x 1024. Some sources claim that it will be a 3D display as well. Anyway, we can see an advanced display from Samsung, the world leader in mobile display technology. Samsung should install a display that can really beat down the high definition Retina Display of iPhone 4S and the possible iPhone 5.
Regarding processor what is clear by now that the forthcoming smart phone would be blazing fast. We can expect eye-blazing performance from Galaxy S3 thanks to an 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor. There will be 2GB RAM. Well, you read it right. Reports indicate that Samsung is to make its next gen Galaxy S as powerful as a laptop.
As far as camera in the new Galaxy S3 is concerned, all indication point towards the fact that it will be substantially better than Galaxy S2 and Apple’s top selling iPhone 4S. Different sources report that Samsung will mount a 12-megapixel rear camera on Galaxy S3. The current version of Galaxy S has an 8-megapixel rear camera. Many recent or upcoming phones like iPhone 4S, Nokia Lumia 800, Droid RAZR and HTC Rezound are also up with 8-megapixel camera. So Samsung may make its Galaxy S3 a far powerful machine for image and video capturing.
Meanwhile a Samsung official has clarified that the product will be introduced in the market when it is ready to be shipped. A Samsung official says, “The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product”
